Schedule & Guidelines

(Pinellas) Solid Waste Collection:

On your scheduled pick-up day, collection for garbage, yard waste and recycling is between 6:00am and 6:00pm. We ask that you please:

Place your garbage in one (1) location, not more than three (3) feet from the road or an alternate location approved by the Utilities Department.

Place extra bagged garbage beside the can. (No more than 4 extra bags)
• Make sure total weight of each bag, bundle or does not exceed 50 lbs., or four (4) feet in length.

Holiday Service Schedule:

Our company observes the following holidays…

Memorial Day – Fourth of July – Labor Day

Thanksgiving Day – Christmas Day – New Year’s Day

Any applicable holiday occurring during regular collection days will result in collections taking place one day later for the remaining days that week.  Regular collection days resume the following Monday.  If the holiday occurs on a weekend, no changes will take place to the garbage collection schedule for that week.

Example:  Thanksgiving falls on Thursday each year.  Any regularly scheduled pickup for that Thursday will occur the next day, Friday, and Friday’s pickup will occur on Saturday.  Normal pickup days will resume the next Monday.

Recycling Guide Lines:
Please take a look at what are accepted and NOT accepted in the curbside recycling program:
  • Pasteboard (i.e., cereal boxes, empty paper towel and toilet paper rolls, soda boxes, beer boxes, tissue boxes, gift boxes, pizza boxes and shoe boxes)
  • Brown paper grocery bags (no wax, no wet strength material, no liners)
  • Corrugated cardboard (flattened and cut down to fit inside the recycle bin)
  • Newspaper, supplements, magazines and catalogs
  • Box Board, Carrier Stock, White and Colored Paper
  • Plastic Containers #1-7 (#'s on bottom of containers) Remove all lids
  • Glass bottles and jars (clear, green and brown) Remove all lids
  • Aluminum cans
  • Steel cans and tin household containers, such as food cans
  • Please rinse out all containers and discard lids
  • Telephone Books
  • Plastic Bags
  • Plastic Cups
  • Paper Cups (Wax Lined)
  • Paper Plates (Wax Lined)
  • Paper towels
  • Motor oil or pesticide containers
  • Light bulbs or drinking glassware
  • Aluminum foil or pie plates
  • Paint or pesticide cans
  • Electronic devices
  • Egg cartons and styrofoam trays
